Description:
Tropical Adventures is a non-profit foundation providing exciting volunteer and "voluntour" packages for individuals, families and groups interested in exploring the culture, language and natural beauty of Costa Rica.

Our projects include:

* Teaching English & Work with Children
* Sea turtles, Dolphins, Iguanas, Monkeys and other Wildlife Projects
* Environmental and Organic Farming Projects
* Community Development Programs
* Indigenous Community Projects
* Internship / Research Opportunities

Join us for a week, two weeks, a month or even more. Another option is a "Voluntour" vacation -- a combination between touring around Costa Rica and doing some volunteering while you're here (this choice is very popular for families.)

NEW PROJECT AT A DAYCARE & NUTRITION CENTER FOR CHILDREN!

It's official! Our new project is up and running at the Daycare and Nutrional Center in Guanacaste - http://tropicaladventures.com/projects_daycare.php?p=daycare. It's a wonderful place where children from this underprivileged area go to ensure they get a good meal for the day as well as lots of interactive play and learning - much of it being health-related. There is a very lovely headteacher, cook and teacher there who run the center together. Volunteers are warmly welcomed by children and staff alike.

It’s Christmas time already?

As crazy as it sounds, we’re already preparing for our Tropical Adventures’ Christmas Projects. This is happening for two reasons: For starters, we have a big demand on people interested in participating in the big Christmas parties that we provide for our communities, and second, because it’s time-consuming organizing these events. We really need to start now to have everything in order by December.

Although it is a lot of work for such a small foundation such as Tropical Adventures, last year we created four big beautiful events. Click here to read all about them - http://www.tropicaladventures.com/projects_xmas.php?p=xmas.

This year, it is our decision to continue with this legacy of beautiful work. We’re planning on hosting five big Christmas parties. This is how we want to spend our holidays, bringing joy where is needed and doing something great for these communities. They deserve it. If you are a past volunteer, and you’re reading this, you know what we’re talking about.

There are no words to describe how wonderful it is to celebrate with these fantastic and loving people. If you feel you are called to share your time with us and others this holiday season, know we’d love to have you join us!

Happy Holidays in advanced to all of you!

I want to express my gratitude to Donna Crawford. She found us on this group site and now that She is visiting Costa Rica, She is bringing down tons of school supplies for one our Holiday Projects in Puerto Viejo. Donna, you really made my day. You're a wonderful woman and I really hope you get to enjoy your visit here. Thank you so much for this wonderful gesture!

I'm currently in Puerto Viejo trying to get donations from hotels and restaurants owners for the Puerto Viejo Christmas Party and the Summer Camp. Last year, we got a lot of support from the community we're hoping to get more support this year since the events are going to be bigger than last year. If you know someone from the Puerto Viejo area, please have them contact us.

We're working really hard to have our holiday projects ready for all of our communities and to receive the volunteers who have decided to help us out with these activities.
